Divine guidance is indispensable

Only the God-directed life is effective and enjoyable.

Let me hear of Your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting You. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to You.
Psalm 143:8

Psalm 143:8 is a prayer for guidance and protection. In the verse, David is asking God to make His love and kindness known to him in the morning—or without delay. He is expressing his trust in God and asking for guidance on the path he should take in life.

David is lifting up his soul to God, seeking God's help and direction. Divine guidance is indispensable. We simply do not know the way, or what would be best for ourselves. Only the God-directed life is effective and enjoyable.

Let us pray to God to make His love known each morning, so that we can start our day with the assurance of God's love and guidance. God will show us the way we should go.

Prayer of the Day

Dear God, I come to you today seeking your guidance and direction in my life. I know that you have a plan for me and that you want what is best for me. I ask that you would make your will known to me and that you would guide my steps.

Lord, I want to follow you and to live according to your purpose for me. Please give me wisdom and discernment as I make decisions and choices in my life. Help me to see the path that you have set before me and to walk in it with confidence and trust.

I know that your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Please illuminate my way and help me to understand your word as I seek to follow you.

I trust in you, Lord, and I know that you will guide me in the way that I should go. Thank you for your love, your grace, and your faithfulness.
