Do not let anger linger
Emotions like anger can provide the devil with an opportunity to negatively influence our lives.
26 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
Ephesians 4:26–27
Ephesians 4:26–27 advises against letting our anger linger as anger can lead to sin if it is allowed to fester and become an emotion of malice, jealousy, resentment, vindictiveness, or hatred.
Anybody can become angry—that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, and in the right way—that is not easy.
—Aristotle
We are advised is to resolve anger issues before the day's end, to prevent bitterness and resentment from taking root. Unconfessed sins of temper provide the devil with a foothold or a base of operations. He is capable of finding plenty of these without our deliberately helping him.
In closing today, I believe that Ephesians 4:31-32 provides sound advice:
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Have a wonderful day, full of kindness and happiness.

Prayer of the Day
Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heavy heart, burdened by the anger that has taken root within me. I confess that I have allowed this anger to control my thoughts, words, and actions, and I ask for Your forgiveness.
Lord, I know that anger is a natural emotion, but I also know that it can lead to sin if I let it fester. Help me to release this anger and to forgive those who have wronged me, just as You have forgiven me.
Fill me with Your peace, love, and grace, and help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
