1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 encourages us to have a joyful, prayerful, and grateful attitude in all situations. Easier said than done, especially while scrolling a social media timeline!
“Rejoice always” means that we should always be joyful, regardless of our circumstances. We can have joy because of our relationship with God, even when things are difficult.
"Pray constantly” doesn't mean that we should be constantly praying out loud. Instead, it means that we should always be in an attitude of prayer, being mindful of God's presence and ready to talk to Him at any time.
“Give thanks in everything" means that we should be grateful to God, even when things aren't going well. We can thank Him for His love, for the good things in our lives, and for the lessons we learn from the challenges we face.
Pro tip: Limit your time on social media to make it easier to stay joyful and grateful, and to give more openings for prayer.
