Prioritize eternal values over earthly pursuits
View things in reference to their importance to God and to eternity.
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
Colossians 3:1-2
Colossians 3:1-2 encourage believers to focus their attention and desires on spiritual matters rather than on earthly things.
Since Christians have been spiritually reborn with Christ, their minds and hearts should be set on heavenly things, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. This is a call to live a life that reflects their spiritual rebirth and connection with Christ, prioritizing eternal values over temporary, earthly pursuits.
The baptized life means that the Christian is seeking heaven and is thinking heaven. His feet are upon the earth, but his head is with the stars. He is living like a citizen of heaven here on earth.
A. T. Robertson
We should not be earth-bound in our outlook. We should view things not as they appear to the natural eye but in reference to their importance to God and to eternity.

Prayer of the Day
Dear God, in the stillness of this moment, I come before You, seeking to set my mind on the things of heaven. I acknowledge that my true life is hidden with Christ in God, and that my identity is defined not by the earthly but by the heavenly.
Grant me, O Lord, the grace to see from Your perspective. Let the realities of Your kingdom shape my thoughts, my emotions, and my actions. As I meditate on Your Word, fill me with the light, strength, and consolation that comes from Your presence.
Help me to appreciate the small things and to desire Your ways above all else. I ask that You would guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus, that I might walk in the path of righteousness and truth.
May my life be a reflection of Your glory, a foretaste of the calm bliss of our heavenly home. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior and my Lord. Amen.
